Summary: We enjoyed our stay here. There is a bench at the end of the property on the lake that was beautiful, especially to see the bald eagles, both adult and juvenile fly by. We spent a lot of time on the porch and upper deck. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have a bathroom/shower on the main floor in addition the the one upstairs. Communication with the property manager was quite friendly and helpful. Things we noted: there is a paper wasp nest about 5 feet off the ground in a bush near the bottom porch, so if traveling with kids, have them be careful as it's an active nest. Also, prompt attention is needed on the upper deck. Weeds are growing out of boards and will sooner than later lead to wood rot and collapse. We didn't sit on that side. As others have mentioned there were spiders everywhere in the house, but that didnt really bother us. We all have spiders, though that could easily be remedied. What was most disappointing was that the windows and sliding glass door surfaces were really dirty inside and out. It could be a really great view if they were cleaned properly more often. We like a more rural setting as this home is right off of the main road, but traffic noise was not really an issue at all. All in all a good place to rent if visiting in the area.
