The anticipation builds as you turn down the private road and drive all the way to the end. Park the car, get out and you'll be surrounded by greenery along the banks of Root Beer Creek. The shaded lawn across the way is there for your use. The best is yet to come though....
Walk up the drive and unlock The Coach House door. Stepping inside you'll find a light, open-plan, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage. Light abounds in this comfy sleeping for four place. Walk upstairs and there you'll find a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in the other. There is split duct air conditioning to keep you cool on those hot, hot days.
The BBQ is right out front. Cook up so burgers and sit at the picnic table or you can sit altogether around the dining table. There is even a round table on the main floor perfect for game night.
The piece de resistance, though, is the spectacular beach.
To get there, just take the path to the left of the main house and across the lawn to the deck overlooking the beach and Lake Erie. The beach balcony/deck is shared with Main House. The Coach House does not front onto Lake Erie; the main house does.
As you gaze down from above you'll take in the expansive beach, sandy gradual entry shoreline, Lake Erie and the mouth of Root Beer Creek. And yes, you can absolutely can have a fire right on the beach. Just dig out a hole about a foot deep and start it up. Leave it to burn out by itself.
When you tired of the beach (not that you will get tired of it!), there is always the creek to explore.
This lovely tranquil spot will have you returning year after year.
The Main House will be occupied by others. Please do not disturb them during your stay.
